The fundamental principle behind the manufacture of Polycon manholes is to build a completely corrosion resistant and leak proof sewer. For the highest quality manhole construction, as much work as possible should be done at the manufacturing plant.

Complicated manholes with varied pipe connections, floor configurations, channel bends, and internal and external bottom drops are all available.

The Polycon™ system manholes match to the pipes in their material and wall design. The bottom section of the manhole is manufactured as a one-piece unit for additional protection against leakage. All types of pipes with the appropriate fittings for the respective type of pipe can be connected to the manhole.

Manholes of DN 1000 mm can accept connections up to 500 mm, DN 1200 mm up to 800 mm, and DN 1500 mm up to1000 mm. The bottom section of the manhole is simply drilled on site and the appropriate fittings are fixed in place.

Where there are large connection diameters, Polycon™ manholes are manufactured as pre-fabricated slabs which are assembled in the plant, ready for simple jointing on-site. The step and channel of the system manhole are manufactured to the precise size from a seamless polymer concrete base.

The smooth contoured surface is particularly beneficial to the hydraulic flow. Climbing aids such as climbing irons, stirrups or ladders are fastened to the manhole wall with stainless steel lock nuts.
